Unplanned Adventure…
Do you know what?? …
Some of my favourite days on this trip are actually NOT the days when we do all the big touristy stuff.
Those days are often (understandably) quite well scheduled, so that we can ensure we get where we need to be, at the right time.
My TRULY favourite days, are when we just head out as a family, with a loose idea as to what we want to do, and we just hit the road and explore.
The vibe for the day is so much more relaxed, from the things we do, to the conversations we have.
1770 Headland and Lookout
This day at 1770 was probably up there with THE BEST exploring day I have had.
- Beautiful scenic walks up the the look out
- chatted to other tourists and locals
- playing with the kids at the playground
- picnic lunch overlooking the ocean
- looking for crabs and paddling in the ocean
- 4X4 driving in the national park
- watching the most magnificent sunsets at
1770, a must do if you are visiting the area btw.
Sunset over Bustard Bay, Eurimbula Creek Campgroud, Eurimbula National Park, QLD
The kids spoke about this day for ages afterwards and Ari is still desperate to go back to the beach because “we never saw the sunset”
He was completely preoccupied and in the moment, playing on the beach with his siblings (and doing jumping photos), that he miss the whole thing
I have had to show him these photos to prove it!
Kids and Dad in the bay
Ari mid flight as he jumps and lands creating deep footprints in the soft, wet sand.
